The Tom Dixon Band
Tom Dixon

Lead Vocals / Rhythm Guitar

Tom Dixon is an award winning vocalist and entertainer who, like many other preformers, got his start in music singing in the church choir. He was born on a small farm in Tewksbury, MA and moved to New Hampshire in the 1st grade. Tom always knew he wanted to be a singer. He spent his younger days singing along to old Kenny Rodgers tapes that his father would play. Tom experimented with many different genres of music from rock and country to even R & B.  In the end, you just can't take the country out of the boy. After watching the "Garth Brooks LIVE from Central Park" video he declared, "I am going to do that!" This was the beginning of what has become one of New England's hottest country bands.

Tom had taken guitar lessons at a very young age, but put it down for many years. In college he decided to pick it up again and the moment he learned a few chords he was itching to learn how to write music and start a band. Tom gathered up a few band members and they started to work on honing their craft. Tom made sure that they spent months down in the basement learning the tunes and making sure they were tight.  Tom didn't want to just play in a band, he wanted to put on a show.  When they finally starting booking gigs there was no stopping the them! Tom has continued to hone his craft as a vocalist, songwriter, enteratiner and guitarist.  He was named the NHCMA "Male Vocalist of The Year" in 2005, "Duo of the Year" 2006 with his friend Jodie Cunningham and most recently the 2011 New England Country Music Organization's (NECMO) Entertainer of The Year.

Tom has continued to work on his song writing skills and has played several writers nights and open mics in Nashville, TN at places such as the legendary Blue Bird Cafe. Tom pulls influences from such artists as:  Gary Allan, Garth Brooks, Toby Keith, Jason Aldean and legends like Johhny Cash, Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson.  Tom is determined and will not let go of the dream. With the band that they have built, he has had an opportunity to open for artists such as:  Alan Jackson, The Zac Brown Band, Sugarland, Phil Vassar & Dusty Drake.
